This morning, I took the kids on a walk (well, I walked...and they rode their bikes -- that seems to work pretty well these days). It was such a lovely morning; the first time we have had any cloud-cover since I can remember.
On our outing, we stopped quite a few times to do various things. There was a huge pit in a construction area near our house, the kids (well...Sebastian, at least) had a blast walking down into it and playing around for a bit. We also journeyed along one of our favourite nature paths very near our home ~ it's not a very long path, but on the far end there is quite an incline. On the way back through the path, the kids whizzed by me on their bikes going down.
My favourite part of our day was stopping to pick blackberries along the way. Late summer is definitely the season for blackberries here, and let me tell you -- they are everywhere!
What foods are in season where you live?
Here's a little un-recipe (I like to call them that, when I tell you how to make it but don't bother with silly details like amounts, and such) ;-)
